Welcome to the low risk prostate cancer decision dashboard.
This site was created for a CDC-funded research study. We invite you to explore the information provided here about the expected benefits and side effects associated with the currently recommended treatments for newly diagnosed low (intermediate) risk prostate cancer. This information is presented as a series of graphs organized in a dashboard format that make it easy to compare the advantages and disadvantages of each treatment option, individually or side-by-side, and understand the key tradeoffs involved in choosing one treatment over the others.
We encourage you to use the form on the last page to send us feedback about your experience using the dashboard. We will use this information to develop a tool to help oncology nurses discuss treatment options with men newly diagnosed with low or intermediate risk prostate cancer. We are therefore particularly interested in constructive suggestions that will help us determine the most appropriate literacy level for the textual information, making the visual elements clear, and developing an interactive format that is easy to use. However, please feel free to send whatever comments and suggestions you would like to make. (Note, at this time we only have an English language version. If warranted, dashboards in other languages would be developed.)
This site is being hosted by a company called Weebly. The information about their services at the bottom of the page is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
